Pingwatch is a lightweight uptime monitoring tool for ping, TCP ports, DNS, WebSocket, gRPC, and game servers — as well as NAS devices, storage systems, servers, and network appliances.
It continuously monitors the availability and responsiveness of your endpoints, giving you a clear view of what is online, offline, degraded, or experiencing increased latency.
Instead of overwhelming you with complex infrastructure dashboards, Pingwatch focuses on the signals that matter for basic availability monitoring: reachability, response time, uptime, downtime, and historical trends.
Monitor What Matters
Pingwatch provides a simple operational view of your infrastructure:
- Ping — ICMP echo requests to routers, firewalls, VMs, and the NAS in the office.
- TCP Port — Open a TCP handshake to a host and port for databases, mail, and SSH.
- DNS — A real lookup against the resolver you choose, alerting when the record stops resolving.
- WebSocket — Handshake against a ws:// or wss:// endpoint on a schedule.
- gRPC — The standard gRPC health protocol; anything but SERVING is down.
- Game server — Native queries for 100+ game types, so a dead session alerts before the complaints thread.
- Response time, uptime, and downtime history — Track latency and previous outages over time.
Built for Infrastructure
Pingwatch is intentionally focused. It is not intended to replace full-stack observability platforms, APM systems, or network-management suites.
